CHEMICAL PROJECT ENGINEER

The Project Engineer is an essential member of our multi-disciplinary engineering teams. The ideal candidate for this role will possess a minimum of 5 years of experience with ammonia, urea, nitric acid, sulfuric acid, or similar petrochemical processes and have a basic understanding of project management. As a member of the team, you will report to a Senior Project Manager and be involved in the overall design and execution of all design aspects including, process, mechanical, stress, EIC, and civil design.
Job Responsibilities:
Familiar with steam reforming, Haber-Bosch processes, MDEA treating, and similar processes.
Planning, scheduling and conducting specific phases of the work plan.
Performing design calculations including hydraulic line sizing, mechanical piping stress, PSV sizing, equipment sizing for various unit processes, and providing the associated documentation.
Validating, justifying, and recommending technical solutions.
Identifying and integrating applicable requirements from other disciplines.
Developing and managing drawings with the engineering and drafting teams.
Developing and checking Plot Plans, P&ID’s, Piping Plans, and isometric drawings.
Liaising effectively with vendors, EPC personnel, technical experts, construction, operations, and maintenance.
Qualifications:
Engineer eligible to obtain an American PE or Canadian P.Eng. accreditation.
Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from an accredited university or college.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Comprehensive understanding of interdisciplinary engineering deliverables for project execution specific to the energy, transmission pipeline, and petrochemical industries.
